NATUROPATHIC BODYWORK
Dr. Celeste Ruland has 18 years of hands on body work, or massage therapy experience. Both of her parents are New York State Licensed massage therapists, who have been in practice for over 18 years. She has apprenticed with them and have learned both of their unique styles which include swedish, shiatsu, deep tissue, sports massage, reiki, zero balancing (TM), relaxation and other techniques. While at NCNM, Dr. Ruland completed one year of elective massage courses and somatic re-education. Dr. Ruland does not hold a separate massage license, but under her Naturopathic Medical License, Naturopathic bodywork is one of the treatments she can provide. Prepare for a new license in Massage Therapy within 2 years for Dr. Ruland, as she finishes her LMT coursework!
Reflexology is a non-invasive, complementary modality involving thumb and finger techniques to apply alternating pressure to reflexes shown on reflex maps of the body located on the feet, hands, and outer ears.
